Plantation Shutters come in various louvre sizes. Common sizes are 3.5 inches and 4.5 inches. There are 5.5 inch lourves for really tall windows or windows with really deep sills.
Larger lourve sizes provide a larger view between the shutters. An advantage of larger lourve sizes is when you close them; there is less light leakage because there are less moving lourves in there.
There’s usually a standard tilt rod in the middle which goes up and down so when you move one lourve, they all move together.
Plantation Shutters give you privacy and excellent light control without blocking the airflow.
